ASSIGNMENT: Manipulating Memories

When we pick up a new memory, we consolidate it to our long term memory.

It turns into a memory trace.

Forever there.

Never fading, but never vivid again.

Whenever you recall a memory, you alter it.

Then, your brain reconsolidates the altered memory.

There, you have an updated memory.

I’ve thought about it so much.

I kept recalling it.

I turned everything into a cue,

fired the neurons

and brought the memory back.

Worked on it,

I drew a new route.

Created an alternative path.

Edited, altered, updated.

I became a designer in the end.

Have you heard about protein kinase Mzeta?

I suppose, it starts a new cycle of long term potentiation.

It is simply the data.

Winds up maintaining memories,

and turns them to something greater.

Well, I do not wish to dictate it any longer

I just wish to stop being this meta.
